Subwoofer amplifier for home theater
Where can i purchase a 500 watt household amplifier for a subwoofer in a home theater? Any links would be great appreciated. Plan is to run a dc level 3 15 in a sealed box. Doesn't matter what impedance it is as i'll order the sub to match it correctly. Not really looking to spend more than 150 if possible. I kinda loss in the ht department. Thanks in advance.

heres the o audio. its more than your budget but it has a ton of adjustments for what it is.
or you could buy my dayton 240 watt plate amp :) lol

have you ever had a real HT sub? you probably won't need anywhere close to 500rms unless your going sealed.
for budget amps these work great

So a sub in a home theater application doesn't need as much power as one would in a car application?

yea. typically you would use a bigger box, and most ht sound is lower frequencies which only requires a little power. im sure xander can elaborate.
