for $30, frys has 400w rms hifonics subs. I tried one out. I can guarantee they hit harder than that tiny magnet and 200w rms.

Just look at that little guy. Kinda feel sorry for him though.

Even a lot of manufacturers will say they use a triple stack just for looks, double is fine

i tried the hifi 12" and under that large plastic cover is a small magnet just the same lol.

when taxe time hits im either going with 16 hifis or 16 of these for a serious sealed wall cone area build.....which is a better choice

Were those the 200 or 300w rms ones? Cause I think the HFX's were the 400w rms ones.

The difference here is that the hifonics are supposedly 400w rms. But I'm pretty sure that's over rated. Still, if it's advertised as 400w rms and you give it that, should be well within replacement standards if you have teh warranty. Also frys is local for most people and easier and less costly to ship the whole thing and wait for the replacement, assuming parts express lets you get a warranty on them.

I know best buy would literally replace a sub under warranty unlimited amount of times while the warranty was still valid.
