The real question is do you really need that much neo? I'm guessing there is a ton of stray flux and over saturation

what leads you to think this? I know nothing of it really so I just want to know. Novocaine ( whom owns the other 2 ) has used his for years and won't sell them at all for any price and seems to love his.

Not sure on his spider setup, think he used to use lvl6 coils in each though maybe?

I'm just wondering how much motor force is actually usuable, on all subs, and what point it just makes the magnet heavier.

that a shit ton of neo, and the top plates don't have the most "efficient" geometry they could have but that not really what the motor was shaped for. with that much steel to saturate, that much neo could work fine but to get the height/clearance they needed they had to add more neo

hold a sponge in your hand and start adding water slowly... after a while the water wont hold and itll start to go all over soaking things. water is flux (magnetic power).... too muc flux (water) itll start going out of the gap and screw with the coils field/linearity
