Default PPI BK520.4 under $100 shipped!

So a lot of you probably know about the dot sale at Sonicelectronix but for those that dont they are having a great sale on tons of awesome products but it is almost over so you need to jump on these savings fast! One deal that I thought was just crazy was the PPI Black Ice amplifiers. I think all of the Black Ice amps are on sale but the one that seemed the best deal was the PPI BK520.4 it is rated for

  • 4 ohms: 95 watts x 4 chan.
  • 2 ohms: 130 watts x 4 chan.
  • Bridged, 4 ohms: 260 watts x 2 chan.

Plus it has 80 amps of fusing!! Im sure it does at least rated and they look freakin awesome! I love the black and copper color scheme. So after you use the code "YELLOW15" the total is $93.50 shipped! Unless you live in KY,like me,then you have to pay tax but even after tax my total was still under $100 shipped. I bought the BK520.4 for a little system Im throwing together, gonna run some JBL comps on the front 2 ch. and bridge the rear 2 ch. to run a Sundown 8" SD2. I already have the comps, sub, wiring,HU, and now the amp but still waiting for it to come in mail it should be here tomorrow tho. I just need a box for the sub, some speaker wire, and maybe some deading I'll probably jus get some Peel 'n' Seal from Lowes since I dont need anything too fancy since this is just a little side project but it should sound pretty decent and get kinda loud too!

The BK210.2 2ch amp is $55 with 20% off which brings it down to $44,just spend another dollar and you will get free shipping. There are way more deals than those but you better hurry b/c I got an email saying the dot sale is almost over. Here are the codes and then a couple links to the PPI amps

Red dots 10% off - RED10
Yellow dots 15% off - YELLOW15
Blue dots 20% off - BLUE20
Green dots 25% off - GREEN25

PPI BK520.4 4ch amp $93.50 shipped w/ code YELLOW15
Precision Power PPI BK520.4 Black Ice 520W 4-Channel Amplifier

PPI BK210.2 2ch amp $44 (spend $45 for free ship) code BLUE20
Precision Power PPI BK210.2 Black Ice 210W 2-Channel Amplifer

Nice price on this MB Quart amp too, tons of power for a 4ch for $150 shipped! Code - GREEN25
MB Quart RA1000.4 Reference Series 1000W 4-Channel Amplifier

That 520.4 would run some mids and highs very nicely for under $100.

Haven't used the new MB Quart stuff.

Glad I could share the deals! I was gonna post this a while ago when I first seen it but I had to wait til this past Friday when I got paid so I could buy the 520.4 for myself before you all bought 'em out lol. But all is good I got mine in the mail, should be here tomorrow so you all can buy em up now! While this dot sale is still going on I may buy some 6.5" coax for rear fill and jus run them off HU power but I dunno I gotta see how much money I have left first. I've been lookin at the MB Quart Ref series 6.5" coaxs, they look nice and for $48 shipped on sale I almost cant not buy them!

Edit: Oh I almost bought the MB Quart RA640.4,its $119.99 plus 15% off would make it like $102 shipped so a little more than the PPI I bought but which amp would have better SQ or more power? Both are rated for about the same output and both around the same price. So out of the MB RA640.4 and PPI BK520.4 which one would you pick? I used to love MBQ but ever since the Maxsonics buyout Ive been kinda weary to buy their stuff. Are they still nice? Im sure they will never be as nice as the old days (I had the RAA1000/RAA2400 they were SOLID and built like a damn tank w/ awesome SQ) but are they still a company worth buying?

The PPI has a much better crossover section, and also accepts balanced inputs (if you have that capability). Assuming all other things are equal I would get the PPI. If the MBQ made significantly more power it might be different, but I'm having trouble finding any real reviews of the new Reference line stuff. I believe both the Discus and Onyx lines from MBQ were produced under Maxxsonics ownership, and those proved to be solid lines. Just not enough info on this line though.

Thanks for the info!

My PPI came today and its even more purdy in person! It is heavier than I thought but I guess thats a good thing? It is also kinda narrow, the length is about what you'd expect but it seems more narrow than most 4ch amps. No complaints just pointing that out. Im glad its not HUGE b/c Im kinda trying to save as much trunk space as possible, thats why I went with a 8" sub that will work in a very small sealed box. At first I was going to get a "stealth" or "mini" amp but I just couldn't pass up the deal on this 520.4. At $93 shipped its a steal for what you get, like SPLEclipse said the xover is awesome on these Black Ice amps and most of them do accept balanced inputs for a much better/cleaner signal,so thats a big plus! Im thinking about getting a mono version, maybe the 1300d? I just love the look of these and the features,I still cant beleive they are so cheap. I did notice PPI has some newer Black Ice amps out but they just dont look as nice and lack the features that the these have. I hope they are not going to completely replace the black/copper versions. I think that would be a big mistake. Im going to try and have this thing hooked up in the next couple weeks but it may be longer, Im still waiting on a few more things to complete my install so I can do everything at once. I will comment on the SQ of the amp once I do get it hooked up,if anyone would be interested. And if you're one of those ppl that think an amp is an amp, IMO that is BS!
