Default My 1st 4th order BP, single C2 Audio Threatcon-2 15

So I thought I would try a 4th order bandpass build. I am using the same sub I had before in a 3.5 cubes ported enclosure tuned at 34hz.

So I built this one. Specs are 2 cubes sealed, 3.5 ported at 45-46hz with a 50" of port area. Still need to sand it, maybe paint or carpet.

Forgot to get a picture after I rounded off all the edges.

SOB is heavy!!

Crappy night pics.

Little day pic

Sounds amazing!!! Very loud. Old setup hit a 137.9 sealed at the dash. Going to meter this and report back.

Thanks for looking.

Nice work. That turned out very nice. I love the addition of "big bass" in an ext. cab without going w/ a wall.

Nice box! How do these subs sound? I was thinking of going with their threat con-4 subs for my rebuild. Are they pretty good at lows and have decent higher bass notes as well? Like what I mean is are they just low end monsters or are they more linear? I"m trying to get away from the low end monster kind of subs cause I'm tired of that sound. Anyways sorry to thread jack. In for numbers!

Nice!
The Black Crown seal of approval doesn't hurt either.

C2 threatcon 2's are very nice subs, I would not hesitate to use them. My brother is pounding a 15 on 1000 watts never gets stinky

They sound amazing, I love it. I had a low end monster like you said before and it would hit great lows and nothing else. Then I had a SD E15 and it sounded like an entry level woofer.

Little bummed on the meter, lost a DB, down to 136.2 but at 40hz.

Overall its a ton louder hitting the lows, maybe its the 1.8:1 ratio where I am getting good bandwidth but not hitting high hz for the meter.

Either way, I love the way it sounds, it is a low end monster!! The ear-o-meter is much better than the term-lab haha.

Well as long as the 'ear-o-meter' is happy, then its -
