Yeah know what you mean. I saw another youtube vid where the guy had a large open area cut away from the floor to access the pump. Not a bad idea really, it was made into a door, with hinges on it.

Ya I have seen them drill a big ass hole above it to get access and change pump and cover hole with the cut out piece and a piece of sound deadner on inside and outside . I don't know I always did mine the right way but the idea does sound tempting lol

Ok for the fuel pumps failing issue this is 100% fact fuel pumps fail due to driving the vehicle while low on fuel. The fuel surrounding the pump keeps the pump cool when you get low on fuel no more cooling only heat rising which is what causes the failure. Also GM has the highest fuel pump failure rate hands down I can count of at least 75 fuel pumps in GM vehicles at my work last year out of close to 100 or so we installed. As for cutting a access hole in the floor I've done it in my 90 s-10 blazer you just need to cut in the proper place and only cut three sides of a square just bend it up do the work bend it down , and I placed a piece of sheet metal over the cut area and screwed it down .

I completely forgot about the importance of fuel cooling the pump. That sounds about right too. Kinda like clipping/heat will destroy subs/speakers. Makes perfect sense.

Houston, we have a problem...

Def not good. Gonna be pulling out the sub enclosure and see where the water leak is coming from. I'm betting the wood underneath is just as bad.

Not much progress....rain and weather. However got these that will def increase electrical flow. Remove the 2 gauge on there and put in the 1/0 for the big 3. It's starting to get more warmer out/sunnier so hopefully I can get at it soon. At 1st I thought it was the wrong terminals because the outside dia countersink is way bigger than the outside dia of the 1/0 wire. Guess that's normal for them.

Few days ago, finally got started on replacing the 2 gauge with 1/0 for the big 3. Still need to replace a few wires and it's done.
