Well I sold the LA X.2's to a real close buddy of mine that put them in a sealed box . So after an hour or so I finally talked him into trying out a ported box. So I went to work and came up with this.
It's 5.15 cuft with 82.5 in of port area....... I know a lot of people are opposed to tuning this high but I designed it with a changeable port so lowering the tuning is not a problem but as it sits now it's tuned to 43hz. It's Going into a 89 mustang LX
Ouch that is a tad high, is it a coupe? Do you plan on carpeting it or leaving it bare?
It'll most likely get rhino lined. And yeah it's tuned a little high but thats what his car likes. And I made it so it so the port would be changeable we've made another port thats 6x9.5 thats fits snuggly right in the exsisting port lowering the tuning to 35hz.
oh I was thinking seats up never mind
and I also was thinking notchback
Yeah theres no way that box would fit with the seats up. And if it was a notch back it'd be mine already. The largest ported box you can fit behind the rear seats in a hatch back is close to 4ft3 with the seats up. I ran 2 ported Alpine type X 10's in mine for a little while. No one could believe they were 10's or sq subs.
