Default Build log for my truck

My truck is an 03 silverado. Ive had a couple different systems in it. But Im doin this log as its my latest adventure.

List of Equipment:
JVC NT-1 double din
CDT 6 1/2 components
Digital Designs 1508's x2 @36 hz
Soundstream PCX1500D (sub amp)
Soundstream PCX 150.2 (mid amp)
Mostly streeatwires cable and interconnects

On to the pix:

Stock head unit

Double din installed and lookin kinda secksee

A pillars scuffed and scribed for the tweets

First coat of paint left side

First coat of paint right side

Final coat of paint and tweets installed in A pillar.

Note: I did primer them before the color coat and sanded to 400 grit between each coat. The color is a pretty close match to factory without having it matched, but it looks more like primer in these pix, but its actually the color coat.

i plan on starting my sub box tomorrow and pix will follow.

Thanks for looking and feel free to add comments or critiques thats the way I learn best

Tim

What did you use to cut the tweeter holes? They look really even, hole saw?

Yep, I was lucky the hole saw was just a teeny bit smaller than my tweeter cups. What I did was measure across and found the center and took a set of drafting dividers and scribed the the circles a couple times each and then laid the hole saw to them. Then sanded the inside till they fit nice and tight. It turned out pretty good.

Update. Got some work done today. Worked on the sub box got more done than is pictured on the box. I think Im going to run into some problems though.

I also installed the A pillars with the tweets.

Drivers side installed.

Passenger side installed.

the bottom of the box. Im afraid the trans hump is going to interfere with the air flow to the port. I think I can drop it down to around 2-3 inches high, but will that be enough.?? I really need some advice this is my first ported box. If anyone has advice, ideas, comment, or critiques let me know.

Thanks for looking,

Tim

Just brace it with a 45. Make every joint as round as possible.
