The Direct Connect (inline) Bi-directional Amplifier improves RF coverage in areas with no signal or low signal strength. The unit amplifies both 800MHz and 1900MHz cellular and PCS signals providing up to 3 Watts of output power on the 800MHz band and 2 Watts of output power on the 1900MHz (PCS) Band. Increases your phone's coverage up to 50 miles or more (under ideal conditions.)
Works with all Cellular/PCS Service Providers except iDEN (Nextel/Southern LINC/Mike) and 1700MHz AWS (T-Mobile US 3G)
How the unit functions:
The 800MHz and 1900MHz cellular signal from the cell site is received by the Wilson Cellular antenna (sold separately). The signal is then amplified and transmitted to your phone through the Wilson Cellular phone adapter cable (sold separately). When the phone transmits, the signal is sent to the amplifier through the adapter and then amplified and sent to the cell site through the outside antenna.
All US Cellular/PCS carriers except iDEN carriers such as Nextel, SouthernLinc, Mike (Canada). iDEN users should use the 5 Watt Direct Connection Amplifier for Nextel/iDEN
. Not Compatible with 1700MHz AWS (T-Mobile US 3G).
Compatible carriers include: Verizon, AT&T GSM/GPRS/TDMA, Cingular, Alltel, Sprint PCS, T-Mobile (850MHz, 1900MHz), Cellular One, US Cellular, Metro PCS, Virgin Mobile, Cricket, Qwest, Boost Mobile, etc.
Ideal for use with car kits requiring an external antenna. Adapter may be required to connect to your particular car kit.
the amp is in good used condition, and it works ...
i used it to boost the signal for my sprint aircard for my laptop. (when i drove a semi truck)
comes with the amp, ac home adapter, external magnetic antenna...
all you need is the adapter wire that plugs into the amp , then you plug it into your phone.
wilson sells the adapters for just about any kind of phone...or you can buy the universal one that sticks to your phone..they are very cheap..
IF YOU WANT TO PAY THE EXTRA SHIPPING COST...i have a tall "wilson trucker antenna" it mounts to a semi trucks mirror. i will throw it in for free..(it broke at the base, and i epoxied it back together. ugly, but its sturdy...it could be used at your house as well...mount it to the gutter...
the amp itself sells for 219.00 from wilson..
