Default Hello from Kentucky!

What's up guys 'n gals?

Not much to tell, really. My name is Troy, I've been in mobile electronics since I was 15, which means over 20 years... I stepped away from active involvement for a little while while I recovered from being hit by a DD, but I'm looking to do some how to videos for the younger DIY'er and so forth.

I'm working on some videos that outline proper install methods for everything from heads to subs, and I have a summer project gearing up for a full install in a Durango I bought last fall.

I'm looking forward to interacting with the groups as much as I can.

I'm always interested in McIntosh amps, so I'll be on the lookout for MC423's 25's or 27's, and would also be interested in a 431M.

I really have enjoyed products from alot of manufacturers you probably all know, so I'd like to see your installs for products that others may not know of, even if its not a high end product.

I've recently heard some really good things about the Dayton Audio Reference line, so I'm looking to check those out soon, and possibly use them in a budget install video soon.

Always interested to trade ideas with anyone, I think we can all learn from each other.

Take care!

Default Thx

Thanks guys -

I'm going to be a sound Q install guy, so that's what I'm into. I'm talking to the guys at Second Skin for some Alpha, Damplify and other stuff...

What gear are you all using for a good sound Q install... Tons of power, want to be able to crank it up, but more enjoy it while I'm on the road...

I'd be down to meet up if you all are close to downtown, I could use some ideas for inspiration on the new install...

Default Rainbow Amps

Yo, what's up with those Rainbow amps? Do you like them? I saw a blip about them but I got lost in all this gear I've been researching...

Default Louisville - KY

Actually, I live a little north in Indiana, but I work in Lou so I spend a bit of time there. I'm looking forward to this summer's build and video series I'm planning to do... lots of experimenting.

One thing I was thinking about was getting help from experts in certain areas and trying to highlight any special talents they have. I can do all my own work, but I'd be real interested in meet ups and seeing what everyone is using so I can make some ideas for my video series.

I'm not into flexing, I'll be doing a big video showing the install of damping material, but I won't be going to the extreme that Second Skin Jon went on his Honda....

Default Thx Slim -

Is that Touch of Class or another shop? I wouldnt mind swingin in on day next week. Im still looking at gear for my install.

I saw some Audiopipe passive 3way xovers- what can you tell me about Audiopipe? I'm still looking at components for the front and I'm seriously considering a three way setup between the doors and kicks. I'm also thinking about putting a sub in the center of the middle bench, like a stealthbox but without sacrificing the seat.

Lots of decisions still to make....
