Default New to here, not to 12v

Hey everyone, my name is Bill and I am a 12 volt addict. Been in 12 volt most of my life, doing side work, worked at Circuit City in the Roadshop for 11 years, and currently with Metra Electronics.

I'm glad to be here and I hope I can contribute.

My daily driver is a 05 Scion xB and it's a basic setup, 5.25" and 6.5" Bazooka seperates up front (I've had them forever but still work), 6.5" Bazooka seperates in the back and a single Vibe Slick 10" in a ported enclosure, all powered by a 4 channel and mono amp I've been testing from a vendor of ours. I have a Metra OE Radio in there right now and a Pioneer DDIN ready to go in.

I have a 95 Astro that will be a ground pounder, originally set up for 6 15" subs. It's still in the begining stages.

Do you test equipment for Metra sometimes then?

Whew, I'm excited to see that. How far along are you?

I worked at the Daytona store and we had a great crew. we weeded out the ones that couldn't install and sent them to the sales floor. there were some questionable "installers" throughout Circuit City but Best buy had just as many.

I do get to play around with the new stuff but it's not what you think. many times it's trying out new duct tape or butt connectors, sometimes backup cameras, things like that. the amps were from one of our vendors just to try out, nothing we were looking to carry.

I wish I was farther along but just in the begining stages. I stripped the interior and used sound deadening all over. I have 2 alternators with 3 runs of 1/0 ga copper wire. the box for the 6 15" subs is in there but will probably come out to be redone. I've been doing most of this in my driveway (which sucks) but now I have a shop to work out of, so shortly the Astro will be moved over to the shop.
