Default new to car audio

New to the car audio scene. Looking to do my first system in a 05 cc duramax. I know i want to go with sundown audio. Wanting to know what is the biggest sub i can put behind the seat or possible under. Not looking to do anything crazy.

Welcome to one of the most expensive hobbys known to man. I love sundown and are running 4 SA15's where my backseats used to be in a half wall. If you want to keep the rear seat at the stock height, I'd go with 2/4 SA8v2's facing forward under the rear seat with aeroports

Definetly 4 SA-8s firing forward with GRILLES over the front on a SAZ3500.

Welcome to the forum.

But thanks for chiming in. Your opinion is duly noted.

What about 2 SA-10's in a downfire box? Is there enough room?

You'll never get the same amount of output with upfiring/downfiring versus firing forward.

welcome to the forum. do you have enough room to fit the e-10s behind your seat. I've never ran the e series but i've seen many reviews and have heard a lot of good things, and I love all my sundown equipment. If you can, I think (3) E or SD-10's on a saz1500 would be pretty solid, but thats just my opinion

Def. use the grilles for the 8's and that sounds like a great idea for the e-10's.

2 sa-8's on at least a 1500w amp would really do the vehicle justice in a good enclosure.
