Hey guys, I'm new to the site and just decided to become a member because of the wealth of information on here. I'm not a complete noob, but I don't know everything.
I currently live in Alcoa, Tennessee.
My set up is a 1998 Ford Explorer with an Eclipse CD3000 deck and a crossfire vr354 power four infinity kappa 5x7s in my doors. I have a hifonics 1000.1d amp powering my 2 MMATS P3.0 12 inch. One, in a crappy "custom built box", and a kicker two 12 inch box.
I'm running with CCA Cadence wiring. With upgraded battery and stock alternator.
I know my set up is quite jank, but it's in the works. The alternator is the first to get upgraded, and of course at the same time the wiring. Then the box, then the amp. Plan on letting my wife use my current head unit when I decide to upgrade to a Nav system.
The reason I am upgrading in that order is because, obviously there is no point in get the box or amp first if I can't properly push the amp and there is no point in getting the new box if I can't run them full blast without draining my battery.
Would love some advice on anything. Thanks in advance!
I know it's not the greatest set up, but it is definitely nice, and I can't wait to get it all built to move onto my wife's car!
