I've been involved with my own car stereo installations for well over 20 years. I am finally having a great system installed in my new 2012 Toyota Camry Hybrid by a professional. My old Honda Accord with over 206K miles did not agree with a Cadillac Escalade. Thank goodness for air bags!!
I'll keep you up to date with the progress.
DLS UP6i front door 6.5 drivers and their dash tweeters
Cadence W 6x9 woofers in back seat panel
Audio Control DQX7 & DD6 remote EQ system
Rockford Fosgate P1000X4D to drive it all.
The plan is to keep the system stealth. I'm keeping the installed head unit. The amp is small enough to fit underneath the rear panel, allowing me full trunk access. The electric engine battery is behind a panel for the back seat.
I am also considering a pair of CDT ES-0690 GOLD woofers in the back.
If anyone is familiar with either of the 6x9 woofers, I'de love you suggestions. I'm looking for excellent, balanced sound, without breaking the bank. I don't need to let the neighbors know I'm passing by. The Class D amp should be very user-friendly with the electric motor/batteries.
