Default Why keep it simple?

I can remember being happy and thinking i was really boomin back i the day w a 15" pyramid sub hooked to a punch 45 (without a x-over)with whatever random crap wire i could scavenge. But even w crap u could always find something u could tweak and it kept you busy and interested in getting the best sound possible. Now 18 yrs removed from earlier disasters i still play w my car audio like i did then. Only now i can afford nicer stuff! And my wife doesnt mind! Sometimes its the simple things in life like a 7 cubic foot box at 33hz in an 01 jetta, or how big a JBL 24001 really is in terms of size and power consumed. New alt on the way this week since i just moved up from the 14001 JBL deciding between dc and ohio gen heard good on both. Bought a pair of sundown sa15 d2s last year and know they will take the abuse of this amp if all my ele stays good. But did smell em the other day a bit, dont like that smell been years but still know it. Looked at volt gauge it was just below 12 evidently the 160 ebay alt from before along w 2 102ah agm batts isnt enough, lesson learned. I love a good work in progress and still need to finish running all the wire for my 75x4 JBL and have been running off a excelon 995. Yet we always tell ourselves, "this time im gonna keep it simple." Heres to not keepin it simple!

If its no fun don't waste your time, life is short. Wasted too much time and money on other hobbies, this one pays you back each time u drive!
RIP to Alma and Gus Vaughn of ohio gen. This is old news to some, but these are names i saw in magazines or people i bought alts from in my youth. This is a great site, imo its the site. Thanks

Thank you for the welcome. Gotta love the sundownz. Blew my mind to see the diff on internals of a 14001 to that of a 24001, pretty eye opening if you are a geek like me. Well worth the ot it took to get it!
