Thanks guys for the warm welcome! I can't wait to start picking at some brains!

I have a 99 s10 standard cab that I want to do a blow through on, so I'm going to be doing a lot of research on that. I have not decided what subs I want to run...either sundown or psi platform ones...and I haven't decided on 12s or 15s. I welcome any and all input to help me make this decision so I can start saving up some cash for this (I'm a 25 year old homeowner who supports a family of 3 on oneincome so money is pritty tight). So please help me make a decision.
I'm glad to see quite a few michiganders on here in case I need a little extra muscle!

Yea man if you need any help just let us know.

As for those brands, you can't go wrong. Do what is within your budget. Check out some build logs on here, decent amount of blowthrough's you can learn from.

If you go down to the bottom of the home page to the off topic section, you should see a Michigan Members thread. We are always in there.

What about 12" vs 15" I've had 12s before but never 15s can I get some pros and cons?

It's completely install dependent. If you have the volume for a 15" then do that, if you only have enough room for a 12", then do that.

I'd much rather have a smaller sub in an ideal box than a bigger sub in too small of a box.

Answer your question?

Don't let anyone tell you " 10s are more punchy, 18s are too sloppy" etc.. Lol those factors are completely install dependent. You could hear both in the back of my car and have no idea what size subs are in there.
