I stepped into a car audio dealer today for the first time in almost twenty years to see about updating the head unit in my original owner 1995 Mazda RX-7. My after-market stereo still sounds great (I had an excellent installer back in 1996 and dropped a lot of money back then as a single guy without many expenses) but my newer vehicles have introduced me to things like BlueTooth and MP3 encoded CD's, leaving me frustrated by not having those features when driving my old ride.
The installer at the dealer was impressed by my old set-up and informed me that there was a market out there for "old school" car audio equipment in the excellent condition that mine is in. I found this site on google while researching his comments.
I thought that reading the forums here would either make me nostalgic for the old school days (in which case I might be convinced to stay with my old Sony Mobile ES head unit, CD changer, and digital-signal processor) or tell me if there is a market for my old stuff if I go forward with an upgrade.
