Came across this forum while doing a google search for something. While I am a very active member of a few Corvette boards, I also wander to audio forums from time to time.
I started with Car audio in the late 80's when I teenager and Pyramid was all I could afford, it was in my first car (81 Mustang) with Pyle 12" woofers
I then moved to a 1984 Camaro, had several variations of systems.. Kicker Free air 12s then Comp 10s, Orion 280gx with an Ultimate 4 channel amp.
in 1992 I got a 92 Firebird, that system consisted of Orion 10s, earthquake EQ6s Pioneer 4x6 and a 2way 6x9 (I think) all run off of an Orion 225 HCCA. I bought the HCCA new in 1993 and sold it in 2006..
in 1994 I upgraded to a 1989 corvette. had it for 15 years and almost that many systems..
Equipment I used in the vette at one time or another:
Orion HCCA 225
Boston Acoutics 851s, 841s and 8" woofers
Phoenix Gold M44
Phoenix Gold MS275
JL Audio 10s
Canton Pullman RS 3
Boston Acoustics 841
Elemental Designs Nine.2x (x2)
Elemental Designs 9kv.2
Headunits have been Kenwood, Sony, Alpine, Eclipse, Nakamichi
My current car/system is:
1990 Corvette ZR-1
Arc Audio KS300.4
Fronts: CDT ES/HD300 Xovers with TW24, CL-4 and EF-6
Rears/Woofer: Elemental Designs 7kv.2
currently with the targa roof off and the xover being passive the Arc is not enough power for the fronts.. plan is to bridge the KS 300.4 to the front and find a small foot print amp for the 7kv.2 I was thinking of the Arc mini 2 channel but heard the Elf might be just as good for my app.. and I can hide it
other thought is a second KS300.4
