Has anyone ever put the old vega's in a 4th order bandpass style box or should I just stick with a regular ported box? the sub calls for 36hz tuning. my car is an 07 gs 350 by the way. I have a soundstream dtr 3400 which I know is overkill for the sub but I never turn my volume all the way up anyways.
Like T-Fade said you really don't want to fire the port into the cabin and the woofer into the trunk. That being said I've ran countless Stroker 15s and I know from experience that they fall flat on their face in a 4th order, not to mention they need a good amount of room to operate. I would just fire the sub and port into the trunk, and leave room around the box for the pressure to get around. It will sound fine.
If you realllllly want to seal off the trunk from the cabin and fire into the trunk you could do something like this:
Man that build was so long ago. Brings me back...
