Default Hi from Michigan!

Hey everybody I'm super pumped to be on this page and get to meet everybody! I'm from Michigan and I have a 2000 Grand Prix GTP, awesome little car with not so much space. Before this car I had never had a subwoofer in my life and I didn't know what I was missing. The guy that owned the car before me had the car wired up and ready to go for some subs. So naturally I went out and bought my first sub, it was a bass pack from Rockville (just a 12" in a prefab box with an amp.) But it was enough bass to get me into it. after a solid month of having that i went and bought an Alpine Bassline 12", another cheepy sub but it had more boom than the rockville in the same enclosure. That held me over for a good hour and then i decided i was going to build my own enclosure for it in woodshop, so i made a 2 cubed box tuned to 32 hz and it sounded 10x better! Then i went looking for my first serious sub (over $100) and i found a mofo dual 2 ohm 12" and i bought an apcl1500.1D and that was my system for the longest time in that homemade box. I was in love... but then my friend got 2 15" kickers and they blew my system out of the water... so i needed more. I then bought an Sa-18 d4 and put it in a 3.8 cubed box tuned to 33 hz... it was close but his was still louder.... ( I get too competitive about that stuff..) so next i bought another APCL 1500.1D and got some 0 Gauge, did the Big 3 wired up my amps. Made a box for 2 18" subs and bought another SA-18.... I took out my back seats and semi-walled off my car... and needless to say i still want to be louder even though I'm running out of room to upgrade xD

So thats my life story over the last year.... my 6x9's and 6.5" s were upgraded from the previous owner i also have an alpine head unit. I know its not all of the same brand, but it still sounds fantastic!

Now that you kind of have an idea of who I am I'm super glad to be on the site and I cant wait to help people out with anything i can, and share experiences and a few laughs with you guys

I'm from the Davsion to Flint area. The new box gave each sub about 5.2 cubes each now and they love it
I want to get into some competitions next year but I think I need to rebuild my box so its not a wall. And possibly make a bandpass box that takes up my trunk lol.
