Signing in for the first time, giving a little intro, as required. Registered as Paladine, but will answer to Pal, Pala, and other names that are not allowed here. I've been into car audio for about 25 years now, have always done my own work. Consider myself to be more than intermediate, but not yet master.... I have recently undertaken a project, that will likely take all I know, and MUCH more. I found out there is no Guinness World Record title for loudest car audio, and so, I will attempt it. It requires only one thing, so far. A minimum db rating or 178.1. For some odd reason, even though there is no record, they have 178 db as the number to beat, based on some other sound criteria they have. I know, this sounds....well.. impossible, but, I already am dedicated to the course. I think I have a good grasp on the tech principles I need to complete this, but am still new to advanced box building/tuning, so am studying the crap out of that. my current system is in a 2005 Audi s4, basic system: one sub amp, about 800 rms, 2 DVC 12" subs, in sealed boxes. all 4 doors are component systems, run from 2 amps, about 300 each, one for tweets, one for mids. Standard aftermarket head unit. I ran all 0 guage wiring to distribution blocks in the back. Still using stock alternator and battery, and big 3 mod is still pending, so I have a cap back there, too. Ran all my own speaker wires, through the boots, so nothing is seen, all appears stock. Can give exact items upon request. Anyway, pleasure to be here, and I am sure it will be a pleasure to contribute, and learn, as we go along!
