Default Bit by the bug ... again

Hello everyone,

I am getting back in the audio game after some years off (family, school, buidling a house, kids, etc.). I have years of experience, tronics degree, worked at a shop, enjoy custom work--in fact, the first time I used carpet was at the shop. Currently getting my ducks in a row to do the install im my 328i. Live in northern Utah, but am from central Cali. Play the drums and guitar, so I like SQ with an extra kick; if I can't feel the kick drum, it just doesn't seem right. I have a nice stock of equipment and will be A/B ing some nice gear, but really like the Zapco Studios. For now the stereo will be a DRX9255, Studio 300X, Studio 500, Audiopulse LMS-R12, PPI 356? components, but as with life is subject to change.

Kind regards,
Jack ... who usetakould ... and with time might could again.

Default agreed ...

I guess I will never be truly considered 'pure' sq; my sub would definetly be considered hot. I just like it to sound live, and golly gee, my kick is not that muffled on the kit. I will always be a bit of a basshead. My last system was in an 89 K1500 full-size with a walk-through. Set up for 6 15W6s, but only put three in. I had a few old school power 1000s ... yes the originals. Never had it metered, but had people pass out in there. If you made it out of a demo, you just had that itchy feeling all over you body ... you know, the one you get when you run a weed-eater for an hour or so. I am really hoping that the single LMS-R12 will be enough, I think with ~30mm usable excursion and a reliable 1K on it, it will do the trick. I think they like 2 cubes sealed, so if one doesn't get it, I will be pressing on to another sub set up--can't volutarily do 4 cubes in a 3-series BMW trunk!

I've been in and out of the hobby several times myself. Always seems to suck you back in.
