audioarsonal Solinids are only rated for so much amperage so make sure its rated for what you are doing. But you don't have to use the outputs for the amp. Run all your 1/0 just like you would without the cap. Then run the leads from the cap to the amp inputs. You may have to strip some wire back to get it all to fit. But it should work. And honestly the solinoid isn't needed.

Caps should only draw power until they are charged (doesn't take a very long time) and that's it.

But yeah a solenoid is a direct connection with no diodes and stacking rings is direct connections so it's like a bolt between all the wires when it's on.

No worries anywhere, just hook everything up all willy nilly like and have a blast.

I don't understand the reasoning behind using a solenoid anyways.

Solenoid question

http://www.alumapro.com/docs/cap5wiring.pdf

the cap i have is hooked up just like this but the cap only has 4awg output/inputs. my amp has 3 1/0 inputs. does a solenoid allow power to pass power both dirrection through the solenoid? i was thinking about running wires off the same size of the solenoid that the power from the battery goes too. use the post as a distro. would it work that way?
