coltwiget See I dont know how well the cheapies can carry and maintain a quality signal. There is many people which have said their systems were not as loud on the meter with cheap rcas compared to nicer ones... the ones who have done the research say after you approach cables over $50.00-$100.00 a set than theres no difference on the meter it becomes simply minimul sq differences. However, I cannot find much info comparing nice looking home cables to car audio cables.

taylorpro Perhaps in the quality of sound. But i dont see what else it could affect. It delivers signal. Any rca should be able to transfer the 4v and few milli amps of current that head unit pre out's produce. Im no sq guy. I could care less. I cant tell the details between one good sounding setup to another. That being said, if the rca's dot allow alternator noise, etc, into the speakers, i highly doubt i could hear any audible difference in anything

coltwiget Have you searched the issue? There is quite a few (alot) of reviews of people using higher end versus low end rcas and how much difference they have made in their setups. Rcas carry the important signal to your amps, there must be differences. Just like power wire is not "just" power wire.

they are "just rca's". really. look at all the normal car audio rca's. they're thing and cheezy as hell. and most never have noise issue's even with them. the only two things i consider with RCA's is 1) how thick/shielded they are, and 2) how tight the plugs are (i like em tighter...hehe). Other than that, they really are one of those parts that are just what they are

just get em man.lol. they're just RCA's. as long as they don't let noise in (which they definitely will not being that thick, then they're all the same.

I just grabbed my old alpine out of the closet and plugged a set in to see how they fit. They actually have a pretty tight fit to them, but if I have problems with them staying on, a little electrical tape will fix it.
