MisterGrubbs That answer is actually simple.

I did a little bit of research not too long ago on a S-10 Single cab, 97 model.

With allowing room for a battery bank/amplifiers, I had enough room for 12 12's in a 4th order

Consider that? And with that, you could buy better woofers

constantprojects well all this has been very helpful but i measured the bed out and i dont have 60 cubic feet to work with . my other option is the 4 15's the stereo shop offered me @ their cost just to try them out .

MisterGrubbs I dont want to make myself seem important by jumping in with those two, but you want to tune 50hz or above on a bandpass, like sonic and AudioXtremes have both stated. It will still play much much lower than 50hz, just have to have faith in that one

Not really. I like mine around 50-58 hz depending on vehicle. But you might like it a little more low end dependant.

here is a lazy way to do this;

Make the rear chamber the manufacturer recommended size for a sealed box.

Make the front chamber the manufacturer recommended size for a ported box. {then tune it to 60hz}

ASSUMING the Manufacturer rec;
1 cu ft sealed
1.5 cu ft ported

your total would be 2.5 each. 40cu ft for 16

-------------------------------------------

will it work?
hell yes it will.
