Default Anybody file a complaint against their employer?

I'm about ready to do one. I'm a aerospace CNC machinist, and the company I work for is growing. Having multiple buildings and CNC machines, there's always something bound to happen. This problem has been around a long time and I think the other employees are fed up with it. What I'm talking about is in one of the buildings I work in these machines create a lot of smoke/contaminates when hogging out a lot of material that fill the air and the employers' solution is open the bay doors. This is BS. Even in WA state in winter times it gets dam cold out. There's no ventilation system at all whatsoever. They don't want to invest in one because they don't wanna fork over the money but yet they got a healthy wellness program. Go figure.

Sounds like an OSHA problem. You can file a complaint anonymously and they will send an inspector out. Of course, the company heads will know that someone complained, and there will have to be a scapegoat.

Call OSHA they will send a private Investigator out who will investigate your claims and you will remain anonymous until the investigation is completed.

and if your claims are just then you also will be protected under the Whistle-blower laws of the nation.

but first you have to climb the chain of command by bringing this to the attention of your immediate manager giving a work week or so to get an answer. if no answer you go to his/her manager if still no answer you go to the Human Resources DPT and if still no answer thats when you call in OSHA but make sure you have a reliable witness(es) with each and every time you approach a manager about this issue. the more people you get on board the better. Whats important is that everyone and I mean everyone who feels this way has the courage to speak up about it when and if needed.

Any other questions just shoot!!!

Your right. Totally forgot about those respirators. They do provide them but no one ever uses them. Now I'm having second thoughts about that.

its part of the job. If they give you a respirator then they are trying to keep you guys some what safe. Its your choice if you want to be safe or not

I work in a coal mine and they dont enforce you to wear a respirator down then but they have them in stock if you deiced you want to wear it for your own safety
