Default Calling on the firearms guys for opinions.

I've beenb in the market for a new rifle lately. I really liked my SIG P220 handgun, so I've been looking into a lot of the SIG rifles. Anyone tried one of these yet?

Never heard a bad word about Sig, tho no experience w/ the Sig rifle. But my suggestion: look into .22 conversion kits for whatever rifle you look at. .223 ain't cheap... Play all day w/ dirt cheap .22, switch back to .223 when you feel like it. JMO.

bushmaster is what we use for predator/fun shooting. 223 is a little pricey but way better than 22-250 and more versitile also.

Get an SKS, be happier and spend way less money. For what you're going to spend on an AR you can get a BNIB SKS and 3000 rounds of ammo.

The .22 conversion costs as much as the whole gun...

OH, and anything you get, make sure it's actually stamped 5.56. People will say they can all shoot both but if it's stamped .223 I wouldn't run 5.56 in it.

5.56 can run both
.223 can only run .223.

Kinda like how a .357 mag can shoot .38 specials but a .38 special can't shoot a .357 mag.
