Default What to go to school for?

Well I'm 21, and have decided I need to go to school. But for what?
Those of you who have a degree, what'd you go for and do you somewhat like your job? I'm thinking about CAD, civil engineer, or comp tech.. is anyone any of those?

I'm kind of a do it all computer administrator for a school district...our boss doesn't believe in having a network admin, LAN admin, technician, etc. We do it all lol...I knew it was right for me because I was self taught and was able to get into the field without even having a high school diploma (dropped my senior year for a job offer and got a GED 7 years later). I love what I do but at the same time I feel it is one of the most challenging careers in terms of trying to keep up. When we don't have a specific title it makes it hard to keep up with ALL technology in a school instead of just our trade.

I have a degree in Information Systems Security and am about to finish my second now for Network Administration...it's rewarding but very hard at the same time!

You'll regret going to school in something you're not interested in. Do something you like to do, and you'll never work a day in your life.

I just finished my civil engineering degree and am working for an environmental firm that is trying to build an engineering department. Im doing more business development than actual civil work, but its been fun.

I tried EE for a year, not what I had in mind. It was all about using energy efficiently in my classes.

I enjoy computers, however, it seems like there's not a lot of money in it. I can't justify spending the money on school if I'm not gonna make much. I thought about civil engineering because in school I loved math, and I think that is the only engineering field i may enjoy, i also like using my brain.

This is like the threads i see asking "what tattoo should i get?"..If you dont personally know what you want to do, dont go and end up wasting your money changing majors again. Or atleast just go and take some general classes...math,english/oral interp, electives

Get your Gen-Ed requirements out of the way and that should help you form your major path.
