Default Anybody the only one that loves Audio in their family or at work?

I'm sure there are many people like me where you don't have too many people to talk about audio (except for this site). People don't understand why we spend thousands on our hobby. We're a rare breed

Tell them, they shoot guns, fish, hunt, build cars, etc. They're hobby is just as silly as yours. Some people even make a killing off of doing it as a living. Started as a hobby, turned into a future.

Not too many hobbies that will test your brain as in building enclosures, wiring woofers, tuning, everything.

Eh I work with people who enjoy it. I work at hhgregg which is an electronic store, but nobody understands it to the extent I do. I can be talking about coils or something and someone will be like yea I know what a voice coil is but what's a dual voice coil? Ill just be like work in CAR audio for at least three years and you MIGHT understand how to use 2 voice coils when im use to working with 8-16 coils haha.

"It's a bassheads thing"

the sad part is, the main installer at my old job (abc warehouse/Mickey Shorr) didn't give two rats asses about it
Didn't like to talk about it, listen to it, or anything
He even went as far to ask me why I'd install an 18" in my trunk on so much power
"he was just past that part in his life, outgrew it"

but, he was also a **** and constantly PO'd about everything 24/7
Could be why

Sounds like a hater to me. One of the other local business owners here in town hates everything unless its crossfire. And if you show up and you are louder than him he will hate you more than he hates your system haha.
