most amplifiers;

  1. remove the back/bottom
  2. remove screws which hold the end plate to the shell
  3. remove screws which hold one end plate to circuit board {whichever end plate is easier to remove}
  4. remove screws which fasten board to the shell
  5. remove clips which hold transistors to shell.
  6. pry the transistors away from the shell {they may be very stuck}
  7. either slide or lift the board out.

oh that....

use a 3/32" allen wrench and insert the short end in the hole and pull toward the middle gently while guarding the backside of it with your other hand. (inside - by caps and such)

try not to damage the clips. if it starts to damage the clip, reposition the wrench.

there is an easier way but I do not have the tool for it.
{two allen wrenches the same size could work very well}

The 4kw might not have screws through the board. some amps don't. {I don't remember any on the 4kw I repaired either}

they are "spring clips" they bend back.

as you "bend" it it will release itself.
they usually come off without a fuss.

they tend to hold charge until they are discharged.

if the amplifier works, DON'T TAKE IT APART.
