If its a metal heat sink you can try Brasso metal polish. It pretty much eats the gunk off of everything. Not sure if it will damage the paint. I used it to polish the antenna on my 98 QX4. It took all 14 years of crap right off in one swipe.

To get sawdust off my amps I've taken just a slightly damp rag and wiped it across. Is your amp sticky?

Its ammonia free. Can be bought anywhere. Its in a metal spray can. I use it on my windows because it naturally evaporates and doesnt leave any residue behind. Its good for window tint since its ammonia free.
