Default Lets talk drills

So with Christmas money in hand I'm lookin for a new drill. Any suggestions? Obviously lookin at at least 18v. Any other features who guys prefer/found handy? Links to good deals?

I noticed there's a porter cable drill/impact combo on sale iirc at lowes for $99.

If a sears is close I would get a craftsman 18v, batterys are way cheaper than top brands. I prefer dewalt but the batterys are almost a $100

i like this drill right here Milwaukee Tool | M18™ Cordless LITHIUM-ION System | M18 FUEL™ 1/2" Drill/Driver Kit

i use it everyday, all day.

but then again, dewalt's 18volt batteries work on all their 18v tools, even the dewalt cordless vacuum,
which is a timesaver when you dont have the hassle of a 50 ft cord

I would recommend Dewalt over craftsman. Dewalts have more torque. You get what you pay for. I can't say anything bad about porter cable. I have a lot of there tools and I love them! My 2 cents

Just looking for a driver or an impact too? Can't go wrong with the rigid stuff at Home Depot. Lifetime warrenty as long as you go online and register it with like 90 days of buying it. That includes the batteries. If anything goes wrong with the drill they'll try to fix it, if they can't they replace it. They replace the batteries for free to when they die. Can't beat that deal!

rigid now has a lifetime warranty on every part of the drill batteries included. It's almost stupid to buy anything else. You literally only have to buy the thing once in a lifetime. When shit breaks, it's replaced. Forever
