all teachers would be forced to carry guns?

theres gotta be a better way,
like police every school a little tighter, give students and teachers electronic badges that only allow them to come in an out.

it would almost be like a military state then, but so is being armed to teeth

Good idea about the badge although I think the overhead would be crazy expensive.
I wouldn't trust teachers with guns around my child. It may go from teachers screwing the studnets to shooting them. The incident was terrible but people must not go crazy. The media does a great job with provoking terror into people.

at my sons school it would cost every parent 60 dollars per year to have an armed officer at school. It would be considered the officers " special " so it's just extra money for him, it's not like they are taking them off the streets.

I think thats stupid. We are tax payers which pays the wages for the officers. Why should parents (tax payers) pay extra for security at a school?

thats my thought too, guns around my kids, period

theres so many "what if" scenario's, like what if another student got ahold of the gun, the kids in conn were only elementary students.

that would end that law as quick as it was enacted

Ummm.... Since you missed my point I will elaborate. If people HAVE to pay for security then by all means do so, I would for my child. I don't not think the tax payers should HAVE to pay extra. After 9/11 there's tons of sheriff offiers, state troopers, and TSA there so why should this be any different?

Perhaps you didn't finish reading. It's their "special" it is an off day that they work for extra money. You ever see a cop at a bank or credit union? You think the tax payers are paying for that? Nope, the business is.
