Default Kicker invents way to toggle or switch ohm loads on their subwoofers

I was curious to get others opinion on not the looks of the new CompR subwoofers but the toggle switch to change ohms as seen in this video:

CES 2013 John Myers KICKER CompR and CompRT - YouTube

Should others do that like sundown, DC, Fi, AQ, and etc.?

I shouldn't have said invent. I meant create or made.

it's actually pretty simple design, didn't watch the video but I'm guessing it's similar to infinity's design.

Meh. I would rather have separate terminals for each coil as opposed to a switch.

What struck me was the fact it's dvc, has only one set of terminals, and has a switch to change the ohms.

It would however make it easier for those seriously getting into car audio to understand what's going on or what to do I think.

I think it actually has 3 voice coils.

The "switch" just changes the dual coils from parallel to series.

I would think if you were seriously getting into car audio you would learn how to wire a DVC speaker in series or parallel. Seems like this is for those who are not serious about car audio and need something simple they can just throw in their ride.
