Default Gettin raped by ups

Has anyone else noticed that ups seems to be increasing their prices?

I shipped 2 sa12s to AL a few months ago, at a cost of around $26 per woofer.

Now I need to send a sundown decal (which weighs like an oz or two and is in a tube the size of a 24oz can of beer) to AL and ups wants $13.96! And thats with having an account and printing my own label, which usually seems to save me ~30%

And $10 to ship a half lb box to MI with some fuse holders

Wtf

i try to use the USPS flat rate boxes as much as possible unless it's under 13oz than I just use first class parcel. i rarely ever use UPS anymore b/c the prices and cost of boxes and shipping supplies.

UPS and FedEx have a minimum charge; which for residential is often 10-12 dollars for ANY package.

I send/receive my packages at work which tends to save a good chunk

about 30% of the time I check ups usps and fedex pricing before I ship.

fedex looses a lot of my business because they are not set up with paypal shipping and because they have no real shipping office here.
I've paid expedited shipping and had the crappy 'shipping store' hold the package two days until the next fedex guy came around... that's some bullshit.

on the other hand;
I drop off at UPS or USPS distribution centers and the package starts moving the same day.
