Default geocaching

have any of you ever done it ? I was reading in a different forum (bout metal detecting) and ran across this . I had heard about it years ago but never gave it any thought until now. i registered and there is a bunch here in my town , it sounds like alot of fun and I can use my phone so its free. Just got me a new hobby to try.

kinda like a real life treasure hunt , basically people hide a container with a logbook and maybe some small token or something and then post clues and the gps coordinates. you log on the website pick one ,use a gps or smartphone then you go look for it ,find it and sign the logbook and so on. from what i understand some of the hiding spots get pretty creative.

Geocaching is a lot of fun I use to do it in Washington. A good friend of mine and I mapped out a couple to find in Seattle and we just rode around on bikes logging a bunch of finds.

I figured you would end up wanting a gps. Lol. When you need to pinpoint a location a phone doesn't cut it. I also have an antenna extender on my hiking hat. Really helps when youre in thick woods
