Default Sbn 2013 rant/idea

Ok, so i was planning on going down to sbn this year, but with my build not being finished and money not permitting i didn't and i'm happy about it with all the problems that went on with people not being allowed to demo. But with hearing all these storys it has begun to irritate me even more.

I have heard rumors about the audio side being at the race track next year, is this true?
Also, i see this video of a lady police officer telling pipo he can't demo anymore because "when we have old people who paid $300 for a room complaining about the music we have to stop it"

All i can think to myself is, do any of the hotels/resorts warn people what is going on during that weekend? Idgaf if it's the only time for people to go on vacation to florida, why do all of the audio guys and girls have to suffer because other people aren't accomodating to sbn?

It's a tradition, which should be handled in a much better manner as far as demo's and playing music goes.
For the weekend of sbn all demos, and music being played etc are allowed, no noise ordinance laws, etc. just for the weekend of sbn... And event staff being ok with it too... It's a lot of money to go down there to find out you can't demo, or listen to other stereo's (or if you can, only for a couple mins at a time)
What do you guys think?
Or rant if you feel, suggest other ideas?

**** SBN. Austin Heatwave is where it's at. Being held at the Travis County fair grounds. Out in the sticks and in the middle of rolling hills, demo'ing is not a problem. Neither are complaints of neighboring hotels, because there are none near by. Show promotors/ Sanctioning bodies should do a better job/more realistic effort at selecting show locations. I understand Austin doesn't hold a candle to Florida's beaches, but there is still plenty to see and do and wont break the bank. My two cents. :/

i feel you need to stfu and nobody cares about SBN

lol but really you think they would try to do it somewhere that the noise wouldnt be an issue cuz i mean thats kinda what its all about . i see both sides of the old couples argument. but i mean you wouldnt set up a gun convention in the middle of a school yard or a church so it only seems logical to make SBN somewhere noise wouldnt bother the non bass heads

You say they wouldn't do that in a school yard, but there in time must of been at least 1 person who did it.

I am also glad I didn't go this year even though I live in FL it would have been a waste from what I heard. There are plenty of people I would have liked to meet and I still wouldn't have minded SEEING some builds you can't have a car audio show without demos.

That sucks, congrats to him, but i just feel that the entire purpose of sbn is being overlooked here. Yes it's a huge even to compete at, but ask anyone, and look on youtube, it's all about the demos, and has been for the longest time. If you're into competing, yes it is 100% for you. But the demos!
