Default Reasons to step foot in a car audio shop

I'll start:

You were on an air plane, it crashed, you landed in front of a car audio shop and your legs are broken, so you don't want to walk across the street and ask to use their phone instead.

Yeah but on their shitty demo setup? With what amp and settings on that amp? You even ask about what is powering it and they either get mad or have no idea...almost no chance of even seeing what amp it is...they just want dumb people who have cash to drop and buy whatever is recommended...that's their target consumer.

The local shop wouldn't even let me take back a $20 dash kit, even if it was un-opened. (I learned this as I went there for a "customer" and we weren't sure if she already had one or not - so I didn't even buy it)

Yes, I'm sure asking for a dash kit for a vehicle is one of the worst things a customer can do when they step foot in a car audio shop.

Anyone who works at a shop definitely wakes up and things "****, I hope nobody asks to buy a dash kit today"

To buy the installation accessory you forgot to purchase on line when you need it on the day of the install

Sigh, such a stunning display of reading comprehension. Im sure there are days where shop employees dont want to deal with customers, but I assure you, it's because of customers like you. Would you go to the grocery store and ask their return policy on brisket because you aren't sure whether or not anyone else is bringing meat to grill? Its up to you, the "installer" to ensure whether or not you need parts. So instead of making him sell you an item, only to have to account for it twice, once as a sale which in turn affects inventory counts as well as the monetary counts for the day, and again to put the inventory back into stock because you couldn't be bothered to check to see whether or not you even needed the item?! Ever heard of a restocking fee?

Translation:

"As a shop owner, I am unable to do simple things that best buy or frys does on a daily basis, yet I expect to provide a satisfactory customer experience and repeat buyers"

Not only that, but if you take into consideration how many people don't even send in the UPC code for mail in rebates, there is a chance that many people won't even care enough to return the item - even if they didn't need it.

But I guess when you are a shop, you only need to rely on fools with lots of money to just buy whatever you tell them and not worry about the little guys who know what the **** they are doing, huh?

Besides the completely irrelevant quote, what was your point again? Besides... the "lil guy" who claims to "know what they're doing" knows whether or not they need a kit before hand. Just sayin.
