Default Are we addicted to sugar??

Energy drinks, soda, gatorade, candy bars, etc...I think the USA has the most junk food in history...and what comes to that leads to obesity. There was a article on the news just recently in regarding this. The answer is probably more obvious than we think. Discuss....

Yes we are. My friend who was over weight stopped drinking soda completely and lost so much weight he looks great now.
Sometimes I just feel the urge for something 'sweet' which is always sugary and If I don't I can feel all jittery. But I don't mind giving in lol.

they don't HAVE to eat junk food. People fat because they choose to and are lazy.
You could snack on fruit like an apple or grapes, oranges and whatever else.
But because junk food and other crap is so easily attainable and found in every corner it's bought and is also cheaper.
I am a little hypoglycemic, I need a little sugar every few hours or I pass out.
EVERYTHING should be taken with moderation, sweets just like alcohol and smoking causes.damage to the body.

Lol I agree partially. But eating junk food is like smoking. For some people it's just as hard to quit. I could stop drinking soda completely but I actually will shake and get hot and all sorts of things if I just stop.

It's expensive to eat healthy.

But...yes no one is forcing us to eat the crap. It's easy to get for one. And the fast food joints...it's too convenient.

Somewhat true.

I started doing Iifym.. One of Ant's other sites. It's basically a "diet" that controls how much protein, carbs and fats you ingest daily.

I'm on day 9 and have lost about 3 pounds.

I'm also gaining more muscle mass then I ever have before. And the beauty of it is I can still eat poptarts (one of their favorite meals over there lol) and drink monsters etc.. just in moderation.

I will say that getting enough protein a day is where the expense comes in.

******************

But in answer to op yes. And I used to be terrible like that... I'm surprised I was able to hold my weight with such poor eating habits. Me and my buddy would stay up all night playing video games and I would easily down a bag of chips and a whole 2 liter... and this would happen once a week or so. Now I can barely drink a 12oz of fanta in a day without going over in my carbs.

******************

TLDR.. check out IIFYM Currently changing my life.
