Default Spring Break? Spring Broke!

So I just got back from my trip to South Padre Island for spring break jam and just wanted to warn any other potential south Texas spring breakers to steer clear of the Isla Grand resort if you planned on staying in South Padre. Not only was it the worst customer service I've ever received in my life, but the amount of undisclosed fees literally doubled the price of the stay. Many of the fees were mandatory due to it" being spring break and all". To some it may sound reasonable but to still force a cover for a local night club as part of the check in procedure despite the fact that the people checking in are three grown ass men who will, in reality, only be in the room for 10 hours, is ridiculous to me. Other standouts from the customer service fiasco was that our first meeting with the manager came by way of him capitulating to a drunk mouthy party goer by literally throwing up his hands , saying- and I quote- "F*ck him." and just storming off. Another gem was when we were told that our room which we had been told would have a king bed, two full beds, and a sleeper sofa in case we had anyone else to entertain during our stay, would actually have a king and two twin beds. No sleeper.Furthermore, had we had the sleeper to entertain other guests, it would have been $30 a head to bring them Into the hotel... $30!!!! So when we asked if they seriously expected us (none of whom are small, by any standard) to have to try to get rest on a twin mattress, the dingbat at the counter rolled her eyes and said smugly that we should just push them together. The examples continue, but you get the point. If you're going to South Padre, book elsewhere. Also, the pair of Macaws (the big ass parrots) in the lobby put on a show of murderous, blood curdling death screams roughly every 5 minutes.

"Undisclosed fees" huh?! Funny that those two words are popping up everywhere.....even bills we pay that people don't notice. That should be something illegal because that's also not telling the person weather in person face to face or written down that there's added fees for something. That crap wouldn't fly in my book. But when it comes to events like carnival or whatever, marde gras, people jack up the prices no matter what. Look at Valentine's Day. A reg rose is what a few bucks on every reg day but then the prices shoot up 2-3x that amount.
