That's a Haas CNC in the background.

That said, they got an invention. Large corporations are gonna have a talk to them, and "buy" out their idea.

^ agreed. and if I'm not mistaken 3D printers have been around since I believe 06 or 09. I'm kinda dyslexic so I'm not entirely sure on the numbers, but I remember one of them.

Anyway, they've been around for a while. I'm glad to see them making some progress into making it more practical.

Thanks for sharing bud. Reminds me of taking $10k to India and having an underground house built.

Default Fail/Fake

what about dirtwork & rebar bitches. the concrete printer can't do it all.

besides all that, it's just theory at this point.

yes. it's been several years that 3d printers were introduced. there is now printers that do plastic, carbon fiber, alloys and now houses. next will be organs. the biggest breakthrough is in price and availability. just imagine being a small business owner like a car repair/tuner shop. all you would need is a couple of printers and do away almost completely with buying actual parts. you can simply acquire the design and pay a royalty per item and print away.

good points. but if you look around, you will find out that new building methods are being used around the world as we speak. less and less human input is needed. other countries are on the cutting edge, we the (usa) hasn't been remotely close to being the leader in tech for decades now.

I didn't really find it. I just googled it. I'd say socal 'found' it.

I'm not sure it's real but the concept is impressive and I know people have 3d printers for plastic for models and stuff. so it's possible, the only question is can they deliver?

I agree the price should probably be higher. I wish I had the money to throw at one.. I think it's like the waterjet or a cnc or any other badass manufacturing tool. if you can sell it's capabilities, you'll make your money back.. and more.

Thats true.

I like the 3d rendering machines better. The ones you program and they basically minecraft whatever you wanted with nothing but (im assuming) some kind of clay, a laser, and a robotic arm. That was pretty cool.
