Nope. I can teach my kid right from wrong and street smarts and like abc and simple math but I'll leave the real education to the schools

Do you home school? Dont really need advice yet....

I am sitting in the parking lot of my area testing center so my kid can do his Mprep or whatever its called.... Bored out of my skull

Got here at 7:30am, cant leave till 1pm....

Hated school when I was a kid and now I am back doing it all over, I just started my kid in the home school K12 program to finish out the year so we are getting used to it so I have to be right next to him figuring it out as we go....

He missed a couple months of the last half of this year due to medical issues so he is kind of behind and the school didnt care so I had to take matters into my own hands.

i was homescooled if it helps

i would have rather stayed in school personally... it took away alot of opportunities to make friends. do random stuff etc.... I was in a group where homeschool parents/kids met up at the Y but it was never right. However i graduated early with honors. I also feel i am alot more educated than some of the school kids i still know.(results may vary)

my advice from being the kid... dont do it. If i had it to do over again i would have stayed in middleschool. Human connection is hard to come by now days. and my communication skills suck worse than a broken swiffer (seewhatididthere)

anyway for real, unless the school is THAT bad.
if you want them to become more educated, take them to a private school.(been there and its much better)

but thats all i got for now. feel free to ask me about anything.

IMO, you have three options...

1. try to place your child in a different school where you'd have to drive your child to school every day
2. Move to a different area with a better school system
3. Place your child in private school

Everyone says the other schools in the area are as bad if not worse. (I was driving him as it was)

Cannot move

No private schools around here and he has a medical condition so we cannot 'ship him off' to school
