Default Craft Beer

So a recent thread brought up some beer discussion. I did a search and other craft threads are like 5 years old... Perhaps this can be used to talk about what's good on the market right now. Set up trades etc.

I'm in Cali, I primarily drink IPA. The really good IPAs that are fresh to market for me right now are Drakes Aroma Coma and Tioga Sequioa Tecumseh.

here in cali the craft beer scene is huge, and its real huge here in san diego, i have so many brewery's within minutes of me, ballast point, stone, green flash, lightning, saint archer, cornado, too many to list man. my sister works at ballast point and they give her $200 a month to spend in their store on merch or beer so it just flows through my house, i only drink longfin because im not into IPA's but my sister went to school for it so you can hand her a beer and she can pretty much tell you whats in it. her and my dad drink a lot of sculpin.

I am also an IPA lover, black IPA is one of my favorites.
Otter Creek and Blue Point Toxic Sludge are the 2 most often available here.
During the summer I tend to drink vodka and seltzer more often than beer though, gotta keep hydrated.

Stone and more recently Ballast point are available here. The Ballast Sculpin grapefruit IPA looks good, I am meaning to try it.

Is the Sculpin the grapefruit one? maybe I'm mixing up the names.

I was out in San Diego and visited the Stone Brewing Co. brewery, and got their Moonlight Hidden Stone on draft. It's a milk stout, and it's seriously delicious. Like, probably in the top 3 stouts I've ever had. Highly highly recommend. Bought a growler while I was there too, it's pretty neat looking.

I'm taking a trip out to the Saint Arnold brewery in Houston after they start brewing Pumpkinator. I think that's around mid-October. Pumpkinator is the best pumpkin beer I've ever had, and I've tried more than I can count on two hands.

they make sculpin, grapefruit sculpin, and jalapeno sculpin. the grapefruit sculpin is pretty popular but its real expensive because they only brew a little of it.

Sculpin is awesome. Ever had the Alpine stuff Ryan1126? I know you said IPA wasn't your thing, but IMO they make the best IPA in the country. Nelson, Duet, Pure Hoppiness are all amazing.
