a 4" top for my current mattress, sheets, a comforter set, pillows. I'm making my own frame since bed will be 14" tall.

So the $1000 doesn't include an actual mattress, box spring or frame? Then yea, a grand for pillows, blankets, sheets and a pad is ridiculous.

I've got the mattress already. $300 of it is in the sheets but the rest isn't anything special I guess.

Whatever helps you sleep as long as good stuff I spent 3800 on one those stupid certa memory foam mattress and it only lasted 2 years I'm not even done paying for it and its completely useless, now you just completely sink now.

That's about right if you have a 2 to 3k mattress. If you have a 1k mattress or less then that's too much.

I don't remember how much mine was over a grand but I bought a bunch of shit at the same time. I'd like a fur blanket but not going to drop 10k on one.
