I think I may have had a stroke

Last night I had some bad chest pains followed by numbness in my left arm and left hand and real bad feelings of fatigue.

Of course I've got pectus excavatum that was surgically corrected when I was 2&1/2 years old and I've got carpal tunnel in both wrists so neither the chest pains nor the numbness are unusual in the least. The fatigue I chalked up to lack of sleep yesterday, I only got about 3hrs.

Last night I was so tired that I fell out early, 12:30 or so. When I laid down my left leg went numb and is still numb now. On top of it I feel a bit disoriented still and I had plenty of sleep.

I just wanted to let everyone know what's going on just in case I should disappear for a while.

Please take aspirin and go to the ER.

If you can't take aspirin then take some alcohol or whatever.. the point is to thin your blood.

I will be going to see the doc tomorrow. I'm not going to the ER, I can't afford it.

it could be a clot in yer leg possibly? just cuz u said its still numb any discoloration.

My insurance stinks. On hospital visits I have to pay the first $1000 and then they start picking up from there. My doctor co-pay is $40 and since I've got $110 in my wallet I can swing $40, not $1K.

No, no discoloration and a clot in my leg doesn't explain the disorientation I'm feeling. I've got lower back problems so I chalked it up to a pinched nerve initially even though that it's normally my right leg that suffers from numbness when my back flares up.

Hopefully my doc will tell me that it's stress and a pinched nerve but I'm a wee bit worried right now.

Definitely get there ASAP. You don't want to make the situation worse.
