Yes, a basket that I shipped attached to a sub was broken during shipment a week or two ago. I bought the person I was trading with a new one for $60. I had $1,500 insurance on the sub, so it wasn't too difficult to get UPS to reimburse me $60 for a replacement basket.

I actually just got the check in the mail today.

I sent pictures online and faxed a copy of my receipt in to the claims office from the store.

Well apparently I wasnt supposed to even start the claim, the ups store is supposed to seeing how technically they are the shipper and I am a third party.

claim was started 2 weeks ago and denied within 3 days. I wasnt told any of this as the UPS store was supposed to contact me. Well they didn't, so I call today and they say oh yeah it was denied then disputed then denied again. So i say ok well why did no one call me in the past 10 days to tell me any of this.... "not sure". Okay is the manager available? "hes with another customer" I say ok ill call back after I call the UPS 1800#....

Call back and say hey just talked to 1800ups, they said you guys should have my package..."we dont have it here" ok can I talk to the manager now then? "he left for the day"

i go to store and voice my displeasure with the entire situation, first being that I packed what i thought was VERY well, individually wrapped every component with bubble wrap then filled in the gaps with newspaper so nothing was touching anything else nor the sides and couldnt move around. The part time associate calls 1800ups and they tell him they dont know where the package is...okay its been 7 days since anything has been updated for any tracking number. So the package may be lost or may be in texas somewhere according to UPS. So technically UPS store is the shipper and would be reimbursed by ups.... how would i ever know if they ever got my stuff back in? or that the dispute was denied? What if ups store did get $ and didnt tell me so i basically am just told to f-off?

I told the part time associate the manager better be giving me a call tomorrow, if not I will be going to district manager then regional etc etc

soooo whos got advice

so here you are with broken shit and better yet, you went back to the incompetent shittards trying for insurance coverage.. but the easy way out of responsibility is more incompetence so they do what they do best and you're almost ready to give up.

and you probably never new that no matter who you talk to at the UPS Store... you don't get to talk to an actual UPS employee.

I ship from the local UPS store all the time. This is the first claim I've filed.

Did you have insurance on it? What were you shipping? How much did it cost?

If you shipped a couple motors worth over $1,000 and didn't pay anything extra, you've got $150 worth of insurance iirc. I know lots of people who don't pay the couple bucks more for insurance, which I think is dumb. I don't know what you shipped, just giving an example.

If you did pay for the correct amount of insurance, you'll probably get it figured out eventually.

I feel your frustration. I'm still fighting Murphy through paypal. UPS claims treated me well though

pair of DD comps, retail new for 189

Sold them for 110 a box brand new, were a friends who bought them semi local, so i bought from him. Brand new never seen power, no mounting hole marks nothing... put $200 worth of insurance on them (covered for the first $100).

When box arrived, one mid was definitely banged up during the ride and motor was moved around. All mids and tweets were individually wrapped in bubble wrap and tapped shut. Sort of a co**** style so to say, then put into the box and used a ton of more paper and padding to separate them all from sides and each other.
