Default riding mowers

looking at a couple different ones. well actually lawn tractors to be exact

mid-1980's john deere 111
38" deck
11hp engine

not sure about year
craftsman (not sure of model)
42" deck
18hp kohler

both have baggers not that i really care since ill probably never use them. the john deere is sure to be built a little better.

for those of you that know anything about them. thoughts

ride both and see which you like better. {it's kind of a cold time of year to buy one though}

If neither stands out, get the Craftsman.

Kohler engines are better than Onan engines.

im looking at a john deere and a craftsman as stated. they are both very close to me and priced right.

if i could get a cub cadet i would seeing as how it is an IH product. there is a nice lawn tractor close to me but its $600 and doesnt have a deck with it. so obviously wont do me much good.

i know that kohler makes a good engine. at the same time though john deere when you get into the older stuff like everything else is worth having.

the JD is $325
the Craftsman is $300

they are both about 35 minutes from me but are in different directions.
