People ask too much money. If an item is only worth like $400, and someone is raffling $600 worth of raffle tickets its a turn off. I'd buy one for yours if it was an actual omega so I had two.

there are 2 sides to that.

if you are buying tickets or whatever in a raffle and dont like the total price of the item then just dont look at the overall price. afterall you are only paying a fraction of it anyway. if you do look at it and dont like it just go out and pay the full price of 400.

would you rather pay 20 for 2 tickets and have a chance to win something or 400

edit: and as he just stated including shipping cost adds to overall price as well

I'm just saying why I think stuff doesn't sell. I know you are only paying a fraction for a ticket, but I don't think people want to buy a $20 ticket price for a sundown 3000D if there is 10,000 tickets. Regardless of how small the fraction of cost it would be IF you actually won it.

If it were me I would rather buy a single $40 raffle ticket if there are only 10 of them for something than buy 1 $10 if there is 40 of them.

I am too poor to loose money in raffles all the time. If they were only a few bucks i might try my luck.

I think if you look at the raffles that have actually taken place, most have been 20 tickets maximum at $15 max a piece. That means you could sell something by raffle and expect about $300 before shipping and any other fees. Time line makes a difference too. Start your raffle on the second Friday of the month and you will get the most tickets sold the quickest because the people that will buy have their bills covered for that month and are planning the next bills that will be due but those bills are not due right then... {they are comfortable with gambling a little}

hope this helps.
