Default Thinking of moving...

...to another state. So tired of the rain/cold here that I'd rather have sunshine that I'd rather have sunshine all year long. But...that would put a burden on the family as well as me. Kids changing schools, I would most def change jobs, but same field, the old lady works at Arby's so that wouldn't be hard for her to transfer if she wanted to. I'd have to put my house up on the market f/s course I would fix it up 1st. Pack up what we need, perhaps sell off or junk some items that are used up/worn out. Would have to tow my s10 with the Tahoe on the long trip. Easily buy a home, or even rent/lease to own.

So what state am I thinking? Kissimmee/Orlando area in FL. There's so much to do outdoors that here....it's nothing.

Houses are fairly cheap in those areas.....but the jobs may not pay as much as here.....in fact around 11% or so, which isn't bad really.

I def don't wanna retire here. This is def a huge deal....if we decide to go this route. I'm just thinking of what else just on the top of my head. This state has drove out businesses over the course of the years that I've seen. There's no Krispy Kreme near me. Dunkin Donuts is long gone. Seattle, has football, seafood which I don't care for and baseball games. Boomin' ain't no sportsfan either!!

Any thoughts/questions into this.....ask away.

This won't happen until next year or so.

Boom is a machinist, he is very mobile in that field. Im w carlos, on the houston/texas area. Lots of skilled work and id assume a decent amt in his field. Florida is badass too w the lack of state income tax. Good luck either way!

I would also suggest moving to Nashville,TN or somewhere around the western Knoxville area. Lots of auto manufacturers that would make it easy to grab a machinist job and tons of outdoor activities. No state income tax as well.

Man what i would do is just start filling out job applications in florida and maybe even in southern cali to see what happens. If a good opportunity turns up, jump on it
