Default UPS insurance claims

If they are sending me paper work for the claim after they inspected the package does that mean my claim was approved or whatever?

I hope so! I cant vouch for that packaging job btw. You packaged that thing really well so idk how they managed to fck it up that bad lol.

They managed to destroy one of my packages awhile back and I'm still fighting that. I packed it well, on top of that, I double boxed surrounded by bubble wrap and packing peanuts. UPS still found a way to damage the thing. Anyway. When I ship now, I bring all the materials to the UPS store, have them pack it, show them receipts of the merchandise, take photos of each packing step, and have them double box it with packing supply overkill. Hell, I even took a picture with the clerk last time lol. UPS is a pain in the ass to deal with on claims issues. I take every possible, now, so they can't refuse a claim if they destroy a package of mine.

Good luck to all parties on the claim.

Unfortunately, No. I was hung up on though, lol. My claim was initially denied. The investigation was horrible. The package was supposed to repacked by the buyer and then inspected. When I received the package, it was packed totally different and the bends and damage to the box were "poorly" covered up. I'm still fighting as I previously stated. I have found, in my own experience, that Fedex's claim support is far superior. Anyway if UPS found some wrong doing on there part, the shipper would be notified via phone/email. The fact that you are being sent paperwork, I guess, would be a good thing. As long as you went by their "shipping guidelines", i.e provided them with a receipt, had them pack it and have photo evidence, then you should absolutely win the claim. Don't leave them any loopholes. Good luck.

when UPS broke one of my audioque hdc3's...They had excuses up the A**....I was finally able to get 90% of the price of a normal hdc3, not the revised edition after waiting nearly 3 months...Plus the package material was the factory one....Just depends who is handling your case, some people suck and others are hella cool...My item was shipped through staples with UPS service and man I will never buy an item if they have to shipe from staples casue the delay is terrible...Either way all shipping companies have damaged my items in teh last 12 years, maybe 1 or every 50 items gets damaged....
